In May 2019, we collaborated with RAMM and Exeter Pride for the very first time! We worked together to share LGBTQ+ heritage through the collections and encourage LGBTQ+ communities to visit the museum. At Exeter Pride, we took over the RAMM tent and shared copies of the Rainbow Trail. In the tent, we had a badge making station where people could select LGBTQ+ icons chosen by young LGBTQ+ people from X-Plore Youth. Everyone, especially Jana and Natalie, also had a lot of fun playing around with the RAMM’s extensive hat collection. In the afternoon, RAMM opened its doors for the very first Queer Quiz in the museum, hosted by Natalie. More than 30 people of all ages joined us for coffee and cake and to test their knowledge of LGBTQ+ history, politics and culture.
